Nuclear Sales Engineer (1341)

Diakont’s Advanced Technologies Division is seeking a Nuclear Sales Engineer to enhance the existing sales team. The individual will be responsible for supporting existing business, growing new business, and guiding product development and rollout. The individual will utilize their sales, communication, and technical abilities to engage strategic customers, negotiate and close contracts, and nurture mutually-beneficial business relationships.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed established sales quotas
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through regular dialogue, site visits and timely response to support requests
  • Identify and qualify new prospects
  • Create proposals and quotes as required
  • Close new business deals by analyzing requirements and negotiating supply contracts
  • Support company marketing efforts through the active participation in industry meetings, trade shows and conferences
  • Conceive new product and service offerings that meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Guide product development through the supply of customer feedback
  • Protect organization’s value by maintaining strict discretion and confidentiality
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base on technical details of company service offerings and tools
  • Complete trip reports, expense reports and other associated paperwork covering activities in the field
  • Perform other duties as directed
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Physics, etc.) or Navy Nuclear Power School
  • Must have at least 3 years of customer facing sales experience
  • Must have experience in US or Canadian commercial nuclear industry and a technical understanding of how plants operate, handle outages, etc.
  • Must have impeccable attention to detail and time management skills
  • Must be enthusiastic, discreet, energetic, self-starting, self-managed and highly ethical with a strong work ethic
  • Must have computer skills, including the ability to use MS Office applications
  • Must have excellent spoken and written communication skills, and be able to present technical information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees
  • Must be a team player with personality traits that enable successful interactions with all levels of staff, vendors, and customers.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (ISO 9000, NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B or similar) is desired
TRAVEL:

Travel percentage: 15-40%, some of which may be international
