Sales Engineer – Energy Services (1550)

The Sales Engineer – Energy Services is responsible for capturing and developing new business. Experience with the oil and natural gas industries is highly desirable. The individual will build market position by locating, defining, and developing business relationships, and negotiating and closing contracts for the supply of equipment and services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet or exceed established sales quotas.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and qualify new prospects.
  • Close new business deals by analyzing requirements, and formulating and negotiating supply contracts.
  • Support company marketing efforts through active participation in industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Conceive new product and service offerings to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Guide product development through the supply of customer feedback.
  • Protect organization’s value by maintaining strict discretion and confidentiality.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base on technical details of company products and services
  • Complete trip reports, expense reports, and other associated paperwork covering activities in the field.
  • Perform other activities as directed.

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree level of formal education, preferably in a technical field such as Engineering, Physics, Math, or Earth Sciences.
  • Must have computer skills, including the ability to use MS Office applications.
  • Must have excellent spoken and written communication skills, and be able to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Must have impeccable attention-to-detail and time-management skills.
  • Must be enthusiastic, discreet, energetic, self-starting, self-managed, and highly ethical.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be a team player with personality traits that enable him/her to work with all levels of staff, vendors, and customers.
