Field Robotics Engineer I (1502)

Diakont is seeking an individual to perform and support decontamination/cleaning operations for nuclear power plants in North America. The individual will operate and maintain the robotic tooling used to perform industrial services.

DUTIES:

  • Operate, maintain, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and mobilize/demobilize robotic tools and equipment
  • Interface with customer representatives
  • Ensure compliance to schedule
  • Generate inspection plans and reports
  • Solicit and relay customer feedback for the purposes of improving quality and scope of company products and services
  • Complete trip reports, expense reports, and other associated paperwork covering activities in the field
  • Protect organization’s value by maintaining strict discretion and confidentiality
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base on technical details of company service offerings and tools
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Perform other activities as directed

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year university, preferably in a technical field such as Engineering, Physics, Math, or Earth Sciences. Alternatively, a non-technical degree is acceptable if combined with significant real-world technical experience
  • Must have significant hands-on experience working with electrical and mechanical devices and tools
  • Must have the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints
  • Must have strong computer skills, including the ability to use MS Office applications
  • Must have excellent communication skills, and be able to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
  • Must be discreet, energetic, self-starting, self-managed, highly ethical, and have impeccable attention-to-detail and time-management skills
  • Must have a strong work ethic
  • Must be a team player with personality traits and communication skills that enable him/her to work with all levels of staff, vendors, and customers

 

TRAVEL:

Travel Percentage: 40-75%, some of which may be international
