The Assembler (Electrical & Mechanical) is responsible for building and wiring electromechanical equipment: cameras, actuators, control boxes, cables, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and interpret instructions, schematics, and assembly drawings with limited supervision

Inspect parts for defects and assemble per instructions and/or assembly drawings

Solder electrical components and wiring
-
Route and fasten cables & wiring per manufacturing standards

Tag or mark identifying information on components or assemblies

Measure, mix & apply a variety of chemicals and adhesives

Perform “overmolding” process per instructions
-
Use hand drill, drill press, grinder and other assembly tools as required

Document issues with documentation package found during assembly

Inspect and test completed assemblies & sub-assemblies

Perform other activities as directed
REQUIREMENTS

Must have minimum of 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing/assembly role

Must hold certificate, and/or have 3 years of on-the-job experience with soldering

Must be able to solder small wires, axial leaded and fine pitch surface mount parts onto circuit boards

Must be able to build to assembly drawings and follow assembly instructions and processes
-
Must be able to handle chemicals such as paints, adhesives and molding material
-
Must have experience with measuring equipment and wire routing
-
Prior professional experience working with video equipment is preferred

Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
-
Must be discreet, energetic, self-starting, self-managed, highly ethical, and have impeccable attention to detail and time-management skills

Must have a strong work ethic

Must be a team player with personality traits and communication skills that enable him/her to work with all levels of staff, vendors, and customers

Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and be able to drive a service van
